Positive Mind, Healthy Heart - Day 147, 148 & 149

Day 147:

"Having a positive mental attitude is asking how something can be done rather than saying it can't be done."

- Bo Bennett, Businessman and Author of Year to Success

A positive attitude will help you focus, while a negative one simply throws up roadblocks in your path.  If you can train yourself to keep an optimistic outlook, the solutions will present themselves.  And the use of the word train in the previous sentence was intentional.  Optimism is a learned behavior ... start studying it now!

Day 148:

Take time to stretch.  Working on your flexibility may not be as flashy as aerobics or weight training, but it's an important part of a complete exercise program.  By stretching major muscle groups, especially those involved in whatever exercise you're doing, you'll maintain your flexibility and protect yourself from injury.  And it feels so good!  Right now, try it:  Take a deep breath, and on your exhale reach up to the sky.  Instant stress relief...

Day 149:

"When we do face difficult times, we need to remember that circumstances don't make a person, they reveal a person."

Richard Carlson, Author of Don't Sweat The Small Stuff

 Joseph C. Piscatella
